So this BOWTIE slp like grille, anything better than TAPE?
I got the red backed 3m body moulding tape and plenty of it.
and a used z28 bowtie grille from a member here, but it has no mount points.
It looks like theres some scratches from it falling off before. So i'm guessing sticky tape isn't the best solution?
Anyone got this grille and how do you keep it on. I'd rather not lose it doing 100mph or in the summer heat. Any tricks of the trade to do this without tearing my bumper apart lol.
Any tips would be helpful

Trying drilling a couple of holes on the top and a couple on the sides and use the christmas tree plugs to hold it on. Won't be noticeable when looking at it. Hope this helps.

I have the same grille, but the SS version. It attaches with 4 to 6 plastic plugs from SLP. You have to drill out the holes behind the grille and the plugs lock the grille in place. I would call SLP and have them send you a kit. Tell them you lost the original mounting kit. They won't charge you that much, maybe $5 to $10. There really easy to talk to and very helpful at SLP. I wouldn't use 2 sided tape if I were you. It makes it allot easier to steal and it will probably come off on a really cold day. I had this GTS Solarwing for the back of my 95 Camaro and I took it off for a year and put it back on with 2 sided tape and it riped off at 110 MPH and flew in the air about 500 feet. I never found it, it probably landed a mile away. Anyway, good luck!!!

Christmas Tree's from SLP just like was stated in the above post, 6-8 in the kit, press grille in hard at the edges to mark the best spot for drilling, I believe the bit is 5/8's, use masking tape to show the markings easier and not burr up the edges of the facia when drilling the holes, pop them in and your good to go.....

I had the dealer install mine so I can't tell you exactly where to mount it. However, I have done over 145 mph with it on and it's still there. The 3M tape will not move.
Oh, but watch out for little birds getting caught in the holes.

My SS came with the grille from SLP. Attached is an image where I marked where they located the fasteners, although I think you only need a max of 4 push-in fasteners which I marked in blue. They were all around the lip of the grille basically and go straight down or straight up into the facia.
