Looks good...remember, doesnt mean if it comes from a gun or can, its all in the prep and the painter.

Thanks man! I used all Duplicolor. It's actually a Ford color I think.. it was the closest match in the paint aisle. I used it on my intake too, so I can't wait to see how it all comes together

Looks great! I don't think I've ever seen an SLP lid painted. Good way to set the car off. I'm definitely excited to see it on the car along with the painted intake, should look sick!

Do you remember the exact name of the Duplicolor paint you used? I'm going to be doing my intake, and that color seems to match the GM Pewter color perfectly.

The only thing i would worry about with painting the lid would be how flexible the paint is once all cured. The slp lid in particular requires some finesse in taking off and putting on and that puts a lot of stress on the back side. You dont see much of that anyway...so maybe it's a non-issue...but still. Would be interesting to see how it holds up.

Sorry it took so long! Excuse the filthy engine bay, the car just got put back together last week

I need a sunny day to get some better pics! I love it so far. In about a week there will be a flat black bird on the lid.

did you prep the plastic with anything? I wonder how long before its starts to flake off...especially where the clips go on and where the tabs go in at the back.

other than that...looks killer!
