Default Napa trip part 1: 07 Maserati Gran Turismo - full correction detail

Bob and I teamed up for another adventure in awesome detailing last weekend. This client in St. Helena (by Napa) had us work on 2 of his gorgeous cars (more coming soon: about $6XX,XXX worth...). He put us up in his guest HOUSE (not room) for the weekend. This house rivaled 5 star resorts in luxury! Then came the food....catered all kinds of goodies to us throughout each day. Individual doughnuts that cost more than 12-packs at Krispy Kreme and tasted just astonishingly good....never had anything like that before. It was royal treatment by a wonderful client. Check out what we went home with coming in Part 2 of our trip a little bit later

Here are my pics from the Napa weekend working on the Maserati with Bob.

Enjoy!

Upon arrival, car looked pretty good

Wax in the edges of the protective clear film and in other spots as well

Bob working the wheels....thats a sweatshirt soaked in rain. A little water coming from the sky didn't scare us!

You can see the rain in the client's pool....this was light rain compared to what we dealt with the next two days....

Rinsing the wheels...

The car had a lot of bonded contamination....here is the clay after just half the hood...

Here's Bob claying the passenger side of the car while I worked the driver's side

Bob taking a pic of me taking a pic of taking a pic of....wait a sec.....

Onto the paint.....time to handle the swirls and scratches

50/50 shot on the nose, just some light marring...

Gettin' down n' dirty with it! Yes even the lower portions of the car get the same love as the rest. Likely the only pic you'll ever see of me laying down on the job!!

Great work guys, that looks like a mirror now.

Just out of curiosity, what does a job like this run just to detail an average camaro?

Thank you. There is no average really... each job is unique. But a full 100% correction is.....costly.

Costly is subjective. What is "costly"?

These doughnuts you had to sit down to eat them....with the first bite your legs go weak, they were that good.
