Default WHICH VFN hood!!!!!!

cant decide which would look better on my 2001 camaro v6!!!

When i bought the camaro it came with a ram air hood but its worped cuz one side fits fine and the other is too high and sticks out i tried to fix it by removing the hood stop and messing with the hinge but nothing worked. i thought about trying hood pins but idk.

also ive heard u can get a discount at VFN for being a member on here if so how does that work?
and if anyone knows how much shipping would b please let me know i live in TX

but heres the choices:

3'' SS Hood

or COWL Hood

Out of the two, the 2nd one.

The 1st one is rice on a v6 and most other cars, unless you NEED the hood clearance. Kinda gaudy.

540 for the hood, 125 to sip, 300 to paint, 30 for the vinyl stripes.

FYI if your car has a Metallic finish, the prices for fitting and paint will be more as it needs to be Blended. YOU could cheap out and not do it but I will guarrentee it not looking right and I would be kinda pissed bout that.

If you have a base color like White / Black / Red, you should be fine. I would get it buffed from a good place to have it look even.

Imo get rid of the v6 first, like someone said if you need paint blended etc it will cost a good buck for a ride that just looks fast, i have the 3inch ss hood i like it but i would put money towards a motor first,

As others have said price of the hood, shipping cost, prep n paint, hood struts etc, thats an awful lot to put into a hood if ya dont need the clearance, i didnt need the clearance for the hood when i got it but i will soon.honest depending on your color of your car you can buy a ls1 for the price of a hood lol,for sure would be a good start for a 6.0 swap

looks better with paint now. i just wouldnt go putting ss emblems on it, you'll never hear the end of it. to some people they are only after looks and not always performance. i wouldnt even mod a v6, id go right for a v8.

I personally think the 3in. SS hood needs some other color going for it other than having the whole hood painted the same color as the car to look good like Stealth's car or have a Manta stripe painted on or something.

I didn't catch the part that your looking at hoods for a V6. What on earth would you need a 3in. SS hood or Cowl hood for? Other than looks your best bet would be to give that V6 a hell of a clean up job and try to trade it in to back up the hood.
