Ash Tray/Center Console Mod? My ash tray cover is broken. I don't use the cup holder at all. Was looking for ideas for a mod I could do on my M6 center console. Was thinking of some type of phone holder where I could hide the phone charger within the console. Any ideas?

I'll eventually be doing guages in the dash. I could fix it, but would like to modify it in some way just for the hell of it lol. And nitrous is a little out of reach due to budget right now. If anyone has pictures of there mods it would be great.

I tried putting my ipod dock that came with my phone into ash tray but its not a perfect fit.

I re-shaped mine, but went with the route of keeping the cup holder but drastically changing the shape so that it can actually holds things (cups, cans, phones....whatever).

It was a really fun project so I definitely think you should modify yours to fit your needs. I had thought about a dedicated i-pod port but like how I can easily grab mine and hold it up to change songs while seeing the road out of my peripheral vision.

well im going out of town for a week but when i return im going to order a cheapy ipod dock and play around with a spare ash tray and try to get something to work. i will post pics with ideas and such when i can.
in the mean time anyone else have anything special they did to give me some more inspiration?
