How many times has your Griots piece failed, Jeff?

That's the ONLY reason I've stayed away from buying the 6" piece. I have a 3" and it's served me well but I feel like it's under powered an I should have just bought another PC and kept a dedicated 3" backing plate on it.

I've gone through a couple, but I use them hard and never give them a rest. They have a good warranty and Griots is good with replacing them quickly.

I am saving up for the Rupes Big Foot thats coming State-side soon.

Well i would be in the same category and I hate waiting for things (which is why I have back up pc's ect) Anyways, let me think about it.... I could use another DA.

I'm asking to be put on the list as well.

GLWS.
^ Agreed. Fantastic polisher with the best warranty. My wife would probably kill me if I bought yet another polisher though...

There was supposed to be one at SEMA for people to test drive. You didn't happen to get to try it did you?

I wish there was a better option between the GG and the Rupes, I really want something better than my PC but I think I'm just going to keep it for now.

You ever used one of the Megs DA's?

I actually got to spend some significant time with it at the NXT class that Kevin Brown and Jason Rose did a couple months ago. I have my Rupes now. I also have a custom Meg's DA courtesy of Kevin Brown.

I was wanting a more powerful DA for a while, but I think now I'm just going to switch to some microfiber pads to achieve some more cut, I also, always have my rotary.

I've saw on autopia that some guys were having problems with the glue on the OPT microfiber pads detaching. I've looked at the OPT, CG, Meg pads. Was wondering which ones to get, I see some people getting some killer results from even a PorterCable with the microfiber cutting pads.

Just not sure if I should try them or just freshen up my stock of foam pads, they seem to get gunked up and full alot quicker than the foam ones.

So I would need to get a few of each, and it seems like I've heard the best talk about the Optimum pads, aside from the detaching issues I had read about.
