Default VFN Sunoco hood

I was thinking about getting a VFN Sunoco cowl hood for my z and wanted to know from a few people on here how the quality of the hood is and how well it fits. I dont want to spend the money of my gaps are going to be off and poor quality. It would drive me nuts looking at my car every time i got in it and seeing really bad gaps or not having the hood sit flush with the fenders. here are a few photos of my car as it sits now.

I love mine, no issue for me. Gaps were fixed with adjusting the fenders. I happy with it.

Since the hood is fiberglass, I just used my stock ones. It def light as hell. My stock shocks throw it up(not rough) lol.

as far as quality and fitment goes, VFN is top notch, consistently. do a search, there are plenty of threads full of pics of their hoods on cars.

I also have one. I was pleased with the fitment. The only issues I had were 4 nuts (hardware inside the hood to attach hinges) came loose. They were just glued in place when they should have fiberglassed them in. I had to cut two 5/8 holes in the hood to replace and hold the hardware. I also had to finish the underside of the hood. VFN said that it should have came finished, this one must have slipped through.

I'm glad I went with VFN though, the hood is very straight and fits well. Also you will need to order the hood struts too, my factory ones felt like they were gonna break it in half. It's about 1/4 the weight of my factory SS hood.

Just my personal experience with VFN, could of been better but could have been worse!

I can't decide between the no body line or body line hood. Glad to hear they're nice hoods to deal with.

Some very nice cars in the thread!

Default Go for the VFN Sunoco...you won't regret it!!

I would definitely go for the VFN Sunoco style hood. I ordered mine three weeks ago and it came in within a week. The body shop I used had only good things to say about the product and the end result is breathtaking.
