Finally got the text adjusted to its correct size, just a bit more work with kerning it that will be done. Vid below.
Ipaq- Im gonna hold true to prior statements that I need to wait till this is all done and working with no issues to access if its worth the effort to produce. We are both just enthusists with families, so I definately want to see how much time to build one start to finish. Also need to access the real cost, alot of the parts we used are product samples. Then get with a vendor like 6LE if we decide to sell it. As you can see it got alot more involved than orignally anticipated. Are people willing to install a main module, compass module, temp sensor in addition to the oled in the cluster. Lots of things to consider.

Just ironing out the last little details. The final circuit boards should be in the mail today. Then need to assemble the components on them and get back to refining the programming. There was a bit of a delay as he added some features for people over in the UK. They have many speed traps so it was programmed in to display speed trap warning icons when approaching a speed camera and it will display posted speed limits ect for the UK.
No need for it in the US, but heres what theyre speed camera warnings look like on the display. In the video below, the speed icon says 50, but has options to display 10 all the way to 130 km in 10 km increments. Also the snowflake next to degrees readout even though its displaying here at 75*, wont display until its 32* or below.

Another small update. Pics of the finished boards. The main board is on left. Decided to use a gm style delphi connector, the middle boards are for the compass module and the right is the OLED related stuff.
Here is the OLED module and circuit board stack in the un modified oem cradle.
Here is the displayed icon when loading software or updates
... And a short vid of how it looks loading up the software/updates

Wow this is looking better and better every time I check the thread!
I had a slightly random question about loading the software updates if you don't mind. I'm assuming normally the updates are loaded via USB due to the screen icon in the video and what appears to be a spot on the circuit board layout for a USB connector. I was wondering if the 6 pin header to the right of the green LED (in the video) is ICSP for a fail-safe method if something goes wrong, or if its just a 6 pin header for connecting the compass?

Parts are supposed to show up today, then I can finally write and debug the remaining code bits - real time clock, compass, battery backup stuff and in vehicle testing...
Almost there folks...
