Default My whistler mod headlights came in.

I replaced my cloudy yellowish stockers with these whistler mod headlights I got from Depo on Amazon. Overall I'm really digging the look and it completes the front end, should've got these along time ago.

Yea man it took me some time of adjusting to get it right, even swapped the brackets to the oem ones. Still has a little gap but it'll live.

I encountered this same problem with the Depos no matter how much I adjusted them, even with the bracket swap. The gapping issue bothered me enough that I dumped them and just restored the stock lenses on my '02.

For people who are picky about this sort of thing, I would always recommend wet sanding/restoration of the originals rather than buying aftermarket.

Yea I gave up on adjusting any further, I keep getting the same results. I'll try to tackle the oem ones down the road, didn't want to risk damaging them more.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, I'm stoked about these new headlights.

I have the depo whistler headlights as well and yes the gap between the bumper has been a slight annoyance. I've adjusted them well enough where it doesn't bother me but I do wish someone would design a more modern fitting perfection of art that sits perfectly with the bumper and hood. It's just a pipe dream but that would be awesome

Unless the housing is cracked or seriously damaged, the stock lenses can usually be restored with wet sanding and polishing, then protected with clearcoat and/or regular waxing, and then if you desire the "whistler" mod can also be done to the stock housing.

The original assembly line headlights were made in USA and just fit better than any of the reproductions/aftermarket options to date. Unfortunately at this point, even the new pieces from GM are outsourced to Depo and don't fit any better. I too wish that new ones could be bought that fit as well as the originals, that would in fact be a lot easier than restoring old ones.
