Default How many cans of VHT Night Shades?

Im going to black out my corner lights, tail lights, and 3rd brake light. Will one can cover all this? Or should I get 2? I'd like to order this tonight. Thanks.

One should be enough, if you're paranoid you can buy two and then sell the 2nd can if you don't use it. I tinted my taillights, turn signals, and rear reflector (using more coats than I admittedly probably should've) and still had a little left over.

Edit: And also, a word of advice on it... when you do the taillights, put the taillights next to eachother and paint them as if they were one, long piece. I painted my taillights seperately, and my driver side is darker. I either used more coats on the driver side, or I used a heavier coat or something to that effect, if you spray it as if it's one piece then you're going to have the same tinting for both pieces.

Hopefully someone else has bought it before recently and can link ya in the right direction; I purchased mine off ebay about two years ago. I just did a froogle and an ebay search and didn't find any results, did a google search and came up with this link:

most parts places sell it, just gotta look hard, ive see it at autozone, kragen, walmart and then bigger car places like sumitt.

one can will cover ur needs but buy 2 just in case. u might mess up and need to start over. or might wanna touch them up over time or your friends might like them so much, they ask u to do theirs

How many coats did you use? Does the brake light shine through just as good as if it wearn't blacked out? I've been wanting to do this for years, just that I am paranoid as hell that some little old lady should not see my brake light and hit me.

one to two light coats would work great for ur break light SIC. the lights shine through great at night, but durin the day its a lil harder to see, i decided to leave my LED third brake light alone for this reason

Pardon the fact that I had a few bulbs burnt out and my bumper was prior to being replaced and this was prior to repainting and such, but here's a whole bunch of daytime pics with the bulbs lit and such, someone else wanted to see how it looked during the day so I went outside and took some pics.

Since these pics were taken, I actually went through and redid all the bulbs in the turn signals with some brighter Sylvania bulbs, so take these pics as being old and not really that accurate, but they're enough to give you a good enough idea of what's going on...

I really dont think one can will do it all. If you are careful you may be able to but the stuff is very thin witch makes you want to spray alot more than you need. I guess if you are patient with it you'll be fine but you might as well just order two because they get you with the shipping cuz its a hazardous material
