Default A-pillar pod mounting question

I got my Autometer dual gauge pod in the other day. Where are you guys drilling the holes for the 6? pieces of mounting hardware?

Evenly spaced along each edge. About a 1/4" in. Then added 1 or 2 where needed. Mine was the full pillar.

The a-pillar pods are just a "cover" for your stock plastic a-pillar, so you have to drill holes in the stock plastic piece to attach the gauge pod to it.

If youre that concerned about it just order a spare one from GM. I drilled my triple gauge pod right on that bad boy, if I need another one down the line Ill just order it. No biggie.

I got mine mounted last night. It looks good. I drilled a hole to run the wires through. I guess if I ever take it off, I'll just buy a new stock piece. But I screwed up and drilled an extra hole for the mounting tabs b/c I lost count. So now I'm trying to find one of those little things somewhere.

I may check this weekend. I just don't want something that doesn't match the others.

I don't think the double sided tape will have a strong enough hold.

I used velcro tape. It has held so far, but we'll see what happens in the summer heat.
