Default My Custom Etched Rear View Mirror

After doing the mirror's on the busa(see bottom pics), I thought about doing the rear view mirror on the hawk. I bought a gravity fed spot sand blaster for $15 from harbor frieght when it was on sale thinking I could cover up the mirror backing and sand blast the mirror finish off. With a $3, 50lb bag of kid's sand from Lowe's I had plenty of sand I gave it a shot. Works perfect, it even makes the glass opaque looking so you can't see through it. I just printed out the pontaic emblem and cut it out with an Exacto knife on some decal vinyl I had laying around. I thought of doing Firehawk lettering on the bottom middle but chose not to so I'd still have the entire center to see out of. Plus I don't have any kind of pontiac emblem on the car anyways, so I needed one.

Opinions?

The 'busa's mirrors with 24 red 20000mcd LEDs behind each mirror. They're my turn signals for the rear.

I'm kinda not diggin' it.... Maybe if it was something other than the pontiac symbol. The Mirrors on the 'busa look pretty f'in tight though!

Would have went with something besides the pontaic symbol myself, but either way that's some very nice work.

I think it would have looked better with just one Pontiac symbol on it. With two, it looks a little too busy. And the busa mirrors look friggin awesome.

Thanks. I thought of going with some Firehawk emblems instead, but when cutting vinyl out that small, it gets hard. I've tried to cut small stuff out of vinyl on a vinyl cutter even, but it can't do stuff under 1". After seeing the two logos, I think BlackBADaSS02 is right that one would have looked better. Oh well, something different nonetheless.

Would look better if it was only one to the right so its out of your view when you're driving

Lookin good Del, nice one!! Now you'll have to make one with a Firehawk bird in it lol, or the passenger's sun visor mirror lol...

Busa mirrors are ridiculously sweet. The rearview for the Hawk would have been better with only one arrow head on the passenger's side. Two make it look a bit busy. Awesome and original idea though.

well i guess if you own a busa you have to etch your rearview....haha...but anyways they look badass and im deff. gonna think of something unique to put on mine, is that just normal etching glaze you can pick up at any art store...ive heard you can use a sandblaster but f-that
