Default Your Hood Pictures Please

I am lookin to get a new hood. I want a WS6 hood. But I wanna look at all my options. Can you post your pictures of hoods. Any cowl hoods or different kinds? Anything to help me decide.

Pretty much your typical WS6 or WS9 hood is gonna be your best bet. A lot of your aftermarket designs tend to have fitment issues unless you can track down Mecham to give you one of their new design hoods.

I don't think there is any cowl hood design for 98-02 birds I have a factory firehawk hood on my car. I really like it, but in your case with the ta front bumper your best bet would be a ws6 or ws9 hood. You can see pics of my car in my sig link if interested though. All designs for the bird are different versions of ram air or plain like what you have already.

I guess I am the only one that doesn't really like the WS6 hood all that much. Sure it looks ok, but I prefer the way the Raptor, Firehawk, SLP, or Superhawk hoods, integrate the hood ports into the lower part of the bumper instead of just stacking them on top of each other like the WS6 does.

Heres is my Raptor hood.

This is news to me. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but I have never seen one for a 98-02 in all my searching and looking through this site over the years. I've seen where the ram air portion is taller and it emulates the rear of a cowl hood. Please post pics if you have in fact seen them online.

Here is my Mecham with the revised/second design hood. I spent a couple of evenings on the hood to get the fit/finish to the level it is but well worth the extra time/labor. I have never seen any fiberglass hood that didnt require some amount of prep/fitment or clean up.

How does it look from the drivers seat? Can you see out or does the hood block a lot of your view?

You better be running some serious power numbers to support a hood like that.

On a stock or mild car I will be the first to make fun of you ..lol.

It is hard to beat the factory WS6 hood especially in the fit/finish dept. since its SMC construction is superior to fiberglass in every way.
