Re: Need opions on grill...
Pewtery2k- That is the grille that I was original looking at... but I dont know what it would go with... my rims are chrome if I get polished it would be the only polished piece on my car.
Blue Beast- That set up looks nice Where did you get the stainless steel mesh from?

Yes...but plastic grills are just that...plastic. God knows, the last thing our cars need is MORE cheap *** plastic on them.
Plastic dash, plastic console, plastic speaker panels, plastic trunk cover, plastic t-top holders, plastic radiator covers...."Hey! why don't I spend $200+ on a $15 injection molded plastic grill piece to replace the stock PLASTIC piece.
No thanks...I think I'll stick to my "truck" grill.

Re: Need opions on grill...
I also added stainless mesh to my SLP SS grille. I measured the mesh size from the front of a Z06 and ordered the mesh from McMaster-Carr. This may be the coolest company in the world!
I epoxied a piece of polyurethane (also from McMaster-Carr) between the openings of the SLP grille. I drilled 2 holes in the polyurethane and attached the mesh with stainless bolts, nylok nuts, and fender washers. I then trimmed the mesh with a cut wheel. Looks great, will never rust!

Re: Need opions on grill...
Lawman.....that looks fantastic!!.......I agree that McMaster-Carr is one of the best companys I have ever ordered from......my sheet of steel was $11 shipped to my door and I had it in one day!, fantastic shipping and service for such a small order.....
for everyones benifit, if they want to use the same mesh, what was your part number?....
mine was part number.... 9319 T524 , I assume that yours was a tighter "weave" on the steel by the looks of it?...and what a great way of installation too!....great to see MODs evolve.......any close up pics of the mesh Lawman?

Re: Need opions on grill...
Blu,
Thanks!
The McMaster part number is 9319T532 (type 316 S/S woven wire cloth, 6x6 mesh, .035" wire dia, 12x12 sheet, $16.20/ea)
The Polyurethane # is 8631K211 (black poly, 3/4" x 3/4" square, 24" long, 90A durometer, $24.31/ea)
As I said earlier, I tried to get the mesh size as close to that of a Z06. I ordered two sheets, but only needed one to do both openings on the SLP grille. I also ordered more polyurethane than I needed, but the extra has come in handy. It's crazy, I ordered online at 4:30 on a Thursday afternoon, the mesh was on my doorstep Friday! Here's the only close shot I have of the mesh:
Hope this helps!
