Default led sizes and need some advice

I want to put some red led's in my rear view mirror and my back dome light. Do the led's just fit right in or do I have to do some splicing and sautering? Also what size led's do I need? Where would be the best/cheapest place to get some?

I did this in mine.. cept I just used red bulbs. The lenses for the rear view mirror are clear but diamond cut so you never see the bulb and the rear dome light is hazed clear plastic. the bulbs are relatively cheap. can pick em up just about Autozone/Advance Auto stores. But if you wanna go the route of using LED's.. hopefully someone will chime in better to assist ya! G'luck on the mod!

If you know the sizes I can let you know which LEDs I got for my camaro. I used 194 for the rear view mirror and 212-2 for the dome light. Let me know and I will point you in the right direction.

This might help as well.

The LEDs in my camaro are 194 for the rear view mirror and 212-2 for the dome light. The 212-2 has loops on the end of the bulb. Let me know if you need any more info.
