Default Engine Detailing

Going to be doing this in a couple of week. What should I make sure to not get wet? Should I cover stuff up or just spray away from it?

I always leave them running when I spray them at work, cause sometimes if you dont they wont start again if you get them really wet. Lt1's are way worse though, you should be good.

never spray a hot engine with water. Rapidly cooling materials are prone to cracking...plus condensation can form

Just hose it down. I do mine every few months. Bring a can of compresed air to get the puddles of water.
