I'm an SOM owner--should I paint my rear CAMARO letters gloss black or flat black?
I'm the original owner of a 2002 Sunset Orange Metallic Z28. One of the first appearance modifications that I did was install RK Sport's black, urethane rear CAMARO inserts. However, the inserts have started to fade and the only way for me to keep them shiny is by buffing them with a polish. When it rains, they go back to looking faded. I'm thinking about just having them removed and, in their place, have the CAMARO letters actually painted in either gloss black or flat black. What black should I use to paint the CAMARO letters in? Thanks in advance for the info.

depends if you wanna still keep an original look.. the berger will change that a big amount. Well if your inserts are fading, their probably becoming a dull black when they fade (flat black). you said you use polish to keep them shiny, and, glossy. Seems from what I hear you'd like the shiny look better. Most important part: What do YOU think would look good?

I got some decals in gloss black when I first got my car. It's been 3 1/2 years and they haven't faded at all. Look up Brent Franker, he use to be on here but still has a site.

Not worth the effort trying to paint it, especially if you want to paint it to look just like the inserts sit.....extremely difficult.
Use Brent Franker's inserts instead of ebay or other companies. I've never heard of them fading, mine sure haven't.
