Well if its a stock trans its rated like 365 hp , But a well built unit can make low tens even 9s at 600 plus RWHP. But how much your will take if stock is hard to say some guys get on up there a ways others die at the first couple mods

lololol damn ........... whats something like that cost. im not going to be putting down anything close to 450 but id rather just get a good trans that can handle up to 700hp cause mine is starting to shift like ****. im not going to get a used stock trans if i can just buy one badass one for under 1400 or under 1000 would be really nice that'll last for a really long time " i hope "
thanks

Run it until it blows, just put a good cooler on it, and keep the fluid fresh.

My stocker is putting out 400 rwhp with a 3400 stall and an HD2 Shift kit. About 15000 miles in this configuration so far.

RPM Transmiossions' 4L60 in my car has been problem free. Went 10.24 @ 137 (1.50) on DRs in October. I've never dyno'ed my car with spray, but it was 435/550 NA. Figure mid 600s rwhp and close to 800 rwtq with spray.

Our blue 2001 SS made 538/500 HP/TQ to the rear tires and ran 9.9s in the 1/4. Our white 2000 SS runs 11.6s, but we haven't dyno'd it yet and my son's 2001 Silverado has over 250 passes on it running high 13.s at 4450#s and they haven't missed a beat. They are all Circle D 4L60Es. We beat the heck out of everything we own.lol.

The 4L60E isn't as weak as many claim. It just has to be built properly. They can handle a good bit more than people think.

My 4L60E has a shift kit, cooler, and converter... I put down 496rwhp, and it has been working good for several months now. I do punch it every now and then, but have not been down to the track. I think it will let go once the car hooks up any.

I think I will be getting a stageV FLT

With just a shift kit, cooler, and 3500 stall my stock transmission held up to 440rwhp/405rwtq for 20k miles and about 120 trips down the 1/4. I just keep an eye on the temp and keep the fluid changed. With my 160 stat and the extra cooler it rarely gets above 200 even when I am beating on it up in the mountains. It now has 90k miles on it and was doing well before we pulled the motor for a upgrade. We'll see how long it lasts once we get into the 600rwhp range.

The trans was in the car when I bought it Dec of '06. The previous owner fragged a Rossler 60E and swore he'd never use them again. The current trans. has all the options RPM offers. They are (or were at one time) a sponsor here. They're located in Daleville, IN.
