Default Transmission filters - Which one do you use?

I've been shopping around for a transmission fluid filter and gasket combo and I've been running into a couple of cheap ones and expensive one. Are these filters all the same or is there a difference in quality?

So far, I've seen ...
Autozone (AZ transmission filter kit with gasket) $11
Napa Auto Parts (in-house brand) $27 bucks
GMPartsDirect $24
Wix Transmission filter kit $16

Which one would you recommend and if there isn't one on this list, where should I check? Input would be greatly appreciated.

I get the 12 buck special at advance or orielly. Bottom line is if you are changing it at regular intervals, then it shouldnt matter what filter you run. Ever since a put a converter in mine, I change fluid/filter once a year.

Allomatic or seal-power are the ones we use here with a good fiber gasket.

i use the one from NAPA, seems fine-i reuse the stock GM gasket on a 4L80E, better than that cork stuff, been off 5 times and zero leak-you can but the filter w/o the gasket

Same here....the gaskets in those kits seem to work just fine as I've never had a leak. I also change my fluid/filter once a year.

Go to a local trans shop and get a filtran filter & duropreme gasket. I have seen 2 wix filters split at the seems and come apart and ruin the trans.

If they give you a box that has a cork gasket, give it
back.
