Default Red Torque converter???

I bought my LS1 off a previous owner who had bought it with minimal mods done, as far as he knew the car was stock, when i bought it i began looking around and found some interesting stuff, it had a hooker muffler, blinstein shock-struts and a tranny cooler, I recently installed my headers and the friend that was helping me said Dude look at this a red converter? I was like wtf so I looked and indeed by a small hole that the transmission has (it has a cap on the whole not sure what its for) I looked and it was a red torque converter???

Is there any way to know that torque converter it is without dropping the transmission???

Put the car in drive. Hold the brake down and slowly give it gas. What rpm do the tires start spinning?

Post a picture if you can OP, I can tell by looking at it about what size and what kind of converter it is. Also, every Yank I have seen has a model number sticker around the perimeter. You can see it through the access window if it is facing down. You could have a buddy spin the motor over by hand while you look for the sticker to come around.

My Yank is a medium darkness firetruck red, no orange at all.

That picture looks like a flash and poor white balance on the camera caused a crappy picture.

Yank, Revmax, or didn't BMR make a red converter?? (don't quote me)

Either way, sounds like you got a sweet *** deal man. Yank is great, and Revmax has some really good reviews so far too.

Should have a sticker around the perimeter. Spin the motor over by hand while someone watches through the window.
