Default New Guy... Dumb Question

so i bought a tranny filter and gasket kit to change filter and fluid. one, the gave me the wrong gasket... apparently there are two different gasket sizes for this transmission? enlightenment on that please... and also this is the dumb part, i cant find the drain plug for the tranny fluid, can someone possibly get me a picture or atleast an explaination of where it is located? thanks guys!!

on the factory pan there is no drain plug. and its very possible they may have sent you the wrong gasket. have you tried flipping it over and turning it inside out. sometimes you have to play around with the tranny gaskets to find the right way to install

their is no drain plug, just unbolt one side and let the pan tilt to drain fluid

thats what i thought for the fluid... i took the gasket back and then he looked at all the others on catalog... we found one that is a different style but noone had it in stock... its deffinetly not the right one because theres some notchs and one of the corners is at a point. my pan has all four rounded corners... you guys ever heard of two different types of pans for the 4L60E?

i think i figured it out... there is a 4l60e dp and a 4l60e sp... i need the sp which i am assuming the difference is deep pan and shallow pan...

dp= Deep Penetration, its for those of us with longer dipsticks...

Lol well I bought it from oriellys... We don't have auto zone out here in Hawaii... I seen the wiz online site has the one I need but idk if I can find it out here
