Default 3600 stall

So i called a transmission shop today about putting a stall in my 01 trans am. I said I had a 3600 stall for a 233/239 cam and would be a street car. I was then told that the car would fall on its face and that was too much stall. Is a 3600 stall too much for a street car?

ya i laughed when i got off the phone. I was just calling around to get quotes and the cheapest i have found so far is $500 for the stall swap, cooler, and new pan gasket. Is this a fair price?

I have a yank 3600 in mine, and, if anything, I kind of wished that I would have gone with a 4000. My car has a hotcam, [ a bit smaller then yours, lol ] but as far as being to much stall even for my cam, let alone yours,no way.

I had a hard time deciding between a 3600 and a 4000 but I made my decision quickly when I found this brand new vigilante stall for $500 so I went ahead and bought it.
