fresh 60e and ss3600 coasting shudder
new engine/tranny build so i have NOT gotten on the gas or flashed the converter, converter locks up accordingly BUT my problem is that it's bucking or "shuddering" while coasting around 35-50mph
any ideas on where to start looking guys?

I tuned my SS3600 not to lock up until 50mph and even then my engine is bucking a bit because it is turning only 1500 rpm and I have a 231/237 cam. I even run open-loop and run a 13.5 A/F ratio at light load to reduce surging.
I don't see a hot cam in your signature, so perhaps that is not it.

You might want to repost in the engine section, but I am confident it is not a trans problem. I've had the same bucking with three different transmissions and three different torque converter and after various attempts to "tune" it out on the engine. IMO it is a side-effect of a performance cam.
This assumes of course that we are experiencing the same thing.

Glad it helped; I thought it would.
I also have a 231/238 cam now (with wider LSA than a month ago); I raised my lockup speed further to 54mph and the bucking is almost completely gone.

No, I now have a Comp 54-458-11 LSR Cam with 231/239 duration, .617/.624 lift and 113 LSA. Previously I had a custom Patrick D cam with similar duration/lift and 111 LSA. The additional LSA in the new cam actually cuts the overlap in half, giving a better low end but some loss at the very high end. Both gave me fastest track times with 7000 rpm shifts.
Neither likes to run much below 2000 rpm; hence the need for a high lockup speed.
