Question Can my Yank SY 3500

handle nitrous? I have the Transgo shift kit on setting #2 and the B & M 24,000 GVW tranny cooler. I have 1 3/4" Kook headers and ORY and a lid/Holley filter. I'm kinda considering it or just going with a mild cam. Not sure which yet.

Yes. I use to run a 125 shot with it but it'll handle alot more than that.

Not that your converter knows the difference but in my case it was dry...why do you ask.

Just curious. I was told that a dry shot was "safer" than a wet shot. I don't know much about n2o. I didn't know whether or not it would make a difference with the converter or not.

150 TNT shot on my SY3500. No problems, well with the converter anyway. ;~)

Yep, I've cut a fair number of 1.48 and 1.49 60s with the SY-3500 on a 100 wet shot. She has never missed a beat on a 3,850lbs daily driver.

When I got my Yank (SS 3600), Mike told me that his non-nitrous converters will have no problems up to 150hp shot on an otherwise mostly stock engine. I was also considering the SY3500, and he gave a similar rating to that converter also.

Cool. If I spray it, I'll only do about a 100 shot. Still not sure if I will. For the money for a setup, I could by a cam for it. So I'm really undecided.

Or for twice the money, you could buy both...
