Default 98 c5 rev limiter issues

Just had my car tuned here at my work and for some reason my car keeps bouncing off the rev limiter even though the tune is set up for 6600 it'll bounce between the 1-2 shift at 6300 and 2-3 shift. is there anything special in a certain table that we can look for to get past this problem? this is on all motor as well, i'm spraying 150 at the track and it breaks up at the 1/8 mile marker i'm assuming around the 2-3 shift

Anybody? I'd like to get this resolved today since I'm goin to the track tmrw, also I have my window switch set to stop the nitrous at 6300 since I don't want to spray through my shifts but that shouldn't be a variable since it does the rev limiter bouncing on all motor pulls

our tuner took my car for a spin and told me what I didn't wanna hear and he said the trans needs rebuilt car has 137k on it so that's to be expected I guess when ur making 400 + 150 shot. So I guess I'm not running at the track this weekend and I'll play it safe. Anybody had luck with the trans go hd2 kit?

There were quite a few upgrades to your trans since 1998. Nice that it lasted 137K miles.
Of course removing the trans in a C5 isn't a trivial task.

You aren't thinking of just throwing in a shift kit are you?

Best to remove it and have it rebuilt by a local shop who REALLY knows these transmissions or buy one from someone like RPM, FLT, PB or other shop and just do the swap.

There are also trans guys here lurking that I'm sure do an excellent job as well.

I am having excellent luck with my PB level 2 in my C5.....nearing 100 1/4 mile passes and it is flawless. I put it in my own bad self....it's a BIG job.

Tore into the tranny and the fluid was clean no clutch material or anything so I don't think it was the trans that was causing the problem. The only thing I can think of is maybe the lnc-001r I'm using to pull timing during the spray has some kind of internal rev limiter but I'm guessing that's highly unlikely, and even still I think it was doing it on all motor pulls as well. Any suggestions where to look next?

Ordered all my rebuild stuff from patc in Louisiana really helpful good guys to work with I highly suggest them to anybody who has questions or issues with there trans. I told him my situation and he seems to think the apply band was slipping once I got over 6000 rpm based on the amount of power my car is making at that high rpm, band didn't look that bad but there was some marks on the drum but nothing bad. Upgrading to their carbonite band, alto red master rebuild kit, trans go hd2 with seperator plate and torlon check *****, 1-2 intermediate servo, 29 element Borg Warner forward sprag, and billet rotor. Ran 675 shipped for all that not too bad I don't think considering I spent 140 on just 6 seals from my work and I work at a Chevrolet dealership sometimes I hate having a corvette

In your tune, there are both mph and rpm tables. The trans needs to see mph first, then the rpm.
Do you have those tuned?

I'm pretty sure my tuner did that and compensated the mph for the spray
