Default Is this trans cooler spot getting enough airflow?

I have my trans cooler pretty much sitting in front of the radiator, and was curious if its getting enough airflow? Cruising around and car up to operating coolant temp, the trans temp was around 168*. But then more "spirited" driving around town and some quick side road passes it would get up to 188*.

So I have a Yank PT4000 converter, radiator is bypassed (stock thermostat), truck trans pan, and a Hayden fin trans cooler. Temp reading are from my Interceptor.

Should I mount the trans cooler more in front so it gets air flow from the lower air dam? Or would it be best to mount it dope style?

Here is how it is:

That's gonna get a good amount of air. Trust me on that, that's one of the best spots actually. Anything under 200 is doing well for cooling.

I hope so. I don't have my front bumper support so air also goes through my front grill area. I can almost reach through my grill and touch my cooler lol

That's a good location. I have my cooler mounted right in the middle of the radiator and temps are fine.

Are your fans running full time? That would help with temps
at low road speed.

No, my fans only come on at the normal coolant temps.

I was testing it out again on some side roads, and the trans temp got up to 210 degrees. I didn't like how close it was to the radiator so I spaced it out further to have more airflow. I need to drive it again and test it out
