Default 2000 Camaro SS, just installed poly trans mount

As title states, I installed a poly trans mount. An energy suspension 3.1142G to be exact in my A4 ls1 SS.

I read over and over people experienced way too annoying vibration and "it had to come out".

I REALLY do not understand what you guys were talking about. I have absolutely no vibration my old rubber mount did not have?

Its a fact.....some people get vibes, some do not. But the fact that some people do is not discredited because you didnt.

My thread was formed as a question wondering what the people who said they experienced vibration were talking about, not that they were out and out wrong.

I'd say they were talking about experiencing a vibration.

So you think it would not go deeper? Vibration at idle, acceleration, deceleration, cornering?

So what exactly are you confused about? I am confused at your lack of critical thinking about a subject that you are being sarcastic about?

I read a thread where 4 or 5 members were speaking very negatively about "vibration" and saying to avoid the poly trans mount. I am truly interested in why they did and why I experienced no vibration. If people want to sway others to avoid a product is it not fair to be skeptical?

Vibration at hwy speed was the complaint I always remember, and why wouldnt it be, that would be when the driveshaft is spinning the fastest.

I do know the poly trans mount can totally change the way an F body feels. driven many and it's always easier to relentlessly thrash on the stock trans mounted cars, lol.

Rubber is a great vibration damper and Polyurethane isn't but is still slightly flexible and stronger. Given the vibration that can be transmitted from many points like the engine/transmission/driveshaft/rear end/tires rubber is preferred unless you need the strength and rigidity of Polyurethane mounts. I bought a 72 Monte Carlo one time that had solid motor and trans mounts and couldn't stand it, Changing back to rubber was almost like turning the Monte into a Caddy. That's also the reason I want to run air bags instead of coil springs on one of two old 50's Chevy trucks projects I have, I want it to glide down the highway.

It feels so little different at regular driving. It feels a lot different on hard throttle, and I really like it! It just feels a little more raw. I like my race car to have just enough raw and just enough cruise to make me happy.

I installed one on mine and definitely notice more vibration. its not bad but I would not want it in my daily driver.

The only thing I notice is my center console and shifter area vibrates a lot at certain rpms.. I thought about pulling the console and putting dyna mat under it but not sure if it's even worth it. Can't complain much when I have LM2 with LT'S and ORY lol

Thats what I got on my old 94 TA,put a rubber mount back and no more bad vibes.

I have the same poly trans mount in Sara (2001 Z28), and she likes it, I feel vibration @ freeway speed when I hold the shift lever, Sara's suspension is so beefed up and riding on 285x35zr18, that we experience a very harsh ride anyways, nothing like staying stiff going down the road
