It will work, A '07 may or may not be an "ISS" unit, But will still work.

If it is an "ISS" unit....The Pump Cover, Stator Support, Boost Valve & Sleeve are different. Not a concern to you if your not opening it up.

Great, I'll be just switching them out, not getting inside. Thank you for your response. Anyone know if it will have to be flashed?

The 2007 should work perfectly as a replacement, no "flash" or tuning is needed.
The ISS adds two pins to the connector, but your harness won't connect to them, and even if it did, your PCM would ignore it anyway. So there is no need to "remove" the ISS.

Thank you for the response and the helpful info. Based on yours and clinebarger I guess I'll the trans. Thanks again both of you, much appreciated.

Don't mean to revive an old thread but I'm in the exact same situation with my 2002 Tahoe with the EXACT same transmission from an 07. As far as I know mine is not an ISS unit because my connector is green, not black. Anyway did you trans work without issue?

I forgot about the listing and was too late to bid. the brand new in the crate trans went for $315.00 I was so bumming. I thought after that maybe it wouldn't have been compatible just to console myself LOL I've a bunch of rebuilts from companies that provide warranties for around $850 and they make sure they are compatible, probable go that route. Hope you get yours going.

A 2WD '07 4L60E, whether it has ISS or not, will work fine in an '98-'02 Camaro.

Perhaps Clinebarger confused the issue because he was listing what was different between an ISS and non-ISS trans (the internal part of the input shaft is also different), but that is irrelevant here since ISS 4L60E up to '08 will work fine with older non-ISS vehicles.
Just be sure your vehicle takes an LS-style trans and that 2WD/4WD is the same as the donor transmission.
