Default Th350 bop adapter

I am looking to buy a th350 out of a 78 oldsmobile. The guy says it has a bop adapter for a gmc. I was just wondering if its worth dealing with the adapter plate to fit an ls engine or just find a th350 out of a chevy. Also i am pushing about 480hp to the wheels now and am going to spray a 250 shot. Will a th350 hold up to this hp? I was going to take it to cooks in sc to have him rebuild it.

we ALWAYS recommend the TH400 over the Th350! Much stronger and more reliable unit! Especially if your going to be throwing 800+HP at it....

Just had my th350 done (pulled from my car) and it was cheaper to build than have them supply one, and me turn in mine for a core, but only by like $50-$100 ?

Anywho, I stayed with a th350, mainly due to it's what I had and no swap costs....plus it will be fine at my level and being a comp manual build.(higher line pressure/better clutch holding)

So, I guess you could go either way (ask them if they have ready to build).

There's been quite a few other members doing a TH400 swap that have posted there progress on here. We also offer ALOT of the components needed to the TH400 swap as well. Shoot me a PM, email(media@ftiperformance.com) or give me a call at the shop we can assemble a complete swap kit for you.
