The TH400 FAQ's.
I would like to volunteer, along with others on here to contribute to a TH400 FAQ page, or even it's own section.
I'm sure Derty and a few others have been overwhelmed by the same questions over and over again. I never mind answering questions, always happy to help, but the TH400 "craze" is now no longer a 1 in 100 swap for Fbody owners. It is becoming a standard.
If you put together a TH350/400 FAQ, I will happily lend some support, and time to it. I'm already the guy that gets flooded with questions on drag wheels, so why not add this to the list.

This is becoming a standard, not very many are willing to pay outrageous prices for a 4L60E that may give up after a few passes and some spirited driving on the roadways.

If Pro Stock John would give his blessing, and a few other people would chip in, this would work. I just don't want to do an entire write up, only to have it fade away in the section. I did an envolved write up on drag wheels, and the damn thing faded off.
If a moderator is willing to set aside some space for a detailed write up, I would contribute. The TH350/400 is becoming the 1# modification for serious drag racers, and it needs it OWN section!!!!

ok, I PM'ed PSJ, here is his update. Looks like its a go, just waiting for Derty!!!
If he says, is a go also - lets work out a list of questions first, then go from their
---------------------------
we could do that, but i've cc'd derty.
i'd prefer that derty (steve) do any necessary final editing to the content to make sure it's completely accurate. plus he has a t400.

This mod is becoming increasingly popular, but we just dont want to waste our time if it will get lost in the shuffle.
Just looking for your blessing, if not, I understand

The Bull
Guys, I already have a FAQ started up. I'll finish it off and even include instructions for a glide as well (since it's so close anyway). I'll then sticky that up to the top.
John, a TH400 does bolt up in the stock location as a 4L60E, there's nothing magical about it.

No the stock torque arm does not have a mount. I recommend a Spohn Torque Arm with built in drive shaft loops for added safety.
Glad Derty is already on top of this. I can go ahead and quit writing the "TH400" Novel I started on the laptop at work this week. It was making my head hurt.
