A4 shifter hard to shift from park
A few weeks ago the shifter in my A4 started acting up. It almost seems like the switch that is activated by pressing the brake pedal is failing. I can press the button in, but the shifter will not move. It doesn't do this all the time, but when it does, it takes several minutes to manipulate the shifter into gear, and it's become quite an annoyance. Anyone ever heard of a "switch" failing?

i had this same problem with my 1994 t-bird. when i would first shift it it was hard, but after the first shift it got easier until it sat for and hour or so, then it would do it again, and it ends up that i got liquid into the shifter and the grease that was on the mechanism washed off. all i did was remove the console and apply some grease that i got at work to the slides and it was nice and smooth again. not sure if the camaro has the same problem but it is an option.
