Default cooler size??

I was wondering what size cooler would work for my application.... TCI 10" USF 4000 with 3.73 gears and I drive minimal city miles (30 weekly). The transmission is a tci th400, also what size coolers is everyone else running and what is the application?
thanks guys

I don't think you want to to be too cool. The tranny fluid has an optimal temperature range, and if you go below that it will be too thick to protect properly. Not sure what the range is, but something to watch out for. Some of the coolers out there are thermal drop coolers, meaning that the thicker fluid bypasses the heat exchanger until it heats up and thins out enough to drop into it.

150* - 180* is a pretty ideal range to stay in. I would not flog a tranny below about 130* nor would I want my temps to ever exceed 200*

big stall + no lock-up = plenty of heat

get the 24k gvw b&m supercooler

B&M 28k supercooler here. I wanted AN fittings so I could go with Aeroquip hoses.

I am using a B&M supercooler 19000 GVW and seem to work pretty good for me.
