Default vigilante tc ??

may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between a single disc, three disc, and 5 disc? im starting to browse a lil on what torque converter to get, and from what i hear vigilante is the best even though pricey. i still have no idea what stall to get.

A single disk is for lock up at part throttle like a stock converter. A multidisk (I use one) is rated for wide open throttle lockup....which works well for turbos....you can lock up a single disk at wot but it will eventually burn up as it is a wear item.

I don't think you can get the 5 disc versions for stock LS1 F-body applications but you CAN get the 3 disc (both being considered multi disc of course).
Single or multi, all great converters.

I say get a vig. If you are going to run nitrous of FI get the multidisc if not get the single. IMO when you back up your converter with a 2 year warranty and a free restall you are good. TCI also has good prices.
