no need to shift it at all, youre not getting a reverse manual valve body, just a shift kit.
it will help improve the slushy shifts of the trans and that alone should be worth a tenth at the track.

After my cam, I had my PCM tuned, and they did wonders for my tranny tune. I didn't need to get a shift kit after that. Something you may want to consider.

I've done both tranny tuning and the shift kit and each helped tremendously. I highly recommend the Trango kit ... it does some things that only hard parts can do.-

you can do more with the shift kit and adjusting the torx on the pressure modulator and PCM tuning will make a difference, but replacing the hard parts will be better.

yes, get the transgo shift kit. i have it and installed it myself. the install itself wasn't hard, the video wasn't worth dick on an f-body car, for part removal anyhow. i did the full race install because of my high stall plans. the 1-2 shift will snap your neck, and 2-3 is very crisp, as well. i'm very happy with it. i also ungraded to a larger tranny pan during my install, something to consider, as well.

Many places actually, but I just ordered mine from our sponsor called Speed Inc. You can find their site at ls1speed.com

yes, i think there are 3 levels of shift kit install. have to do your homework on the transgo kit itself. i put less than 3k miles a year on this particular car, which would explain the full race shift kit and ssf4000 going in.

yes, its done during installation of the kit. if you have never put one in before you will end up taking it apart a few times to get the shift feel you want. once you get it set up thats it, theres no easy adjustment after that.
