Go all out, SS4000. j/k. I had a 3800 in my last Z, and that felt good on the street and track.

No track times with this converter. But I will tell you that it is loose on the street.

SS3800 here, I have no complaints with the converter. I went to the track once, but I was on street tires, so launching was tough and I really couldn't get maximum results on bald F1's.

the converter isnt bad at all driving around town, a little loose going up big hills but any aftermarket tc will be. The car pulls like a raped ape when you flash the converter. I went from a 12.8 to a 12.35 with just changing the converter, on bfg's i cut constant 1.7x 60's and a few 1.69. Only went to the track three times with converter, all with crappy DA, had 12.2's in it easy. Couldn't be happier.

Is this 3600 stall uncomfortable in everyday driving would you say?

I can't say that having a stall is a HUGE difference. It's a little loose, but it's not annoying. You just have to give the car a little bit more gas from a stop. I have the SS3600 and I love it. I had headers installed a couple weeks before the stall converter went in, and after that SS3600 went in it was adding the headers all over again. I've been very happy with how the converter performs on the street and the difference it makes at the track.

i have this converter as well, waiting to install and putting in 3.73 gears, does the 3.73 gears make this converter feel alittle tighter? how does it drive with a cam 224/224 on a 112? I've heard this converter drives like a 2800 on regular street driving? is that true?

I had a ST3000 and the SS3600 drives the same until you floor it. 500 rpm higher shift extension. Simply great street manners.
You'll forget tou got a converter after 100 miles.

you will never forget that the converter is there believe me i have one, yes it drives good in street driving, i would say it is probably comparable to my father TT3000 stall for driveability, but i never forget it is there. with just a small incline or sometimes flat ground off idle it will not move or just slightly. i dont want you to get the wrong idea you will know it is there but it is one of the best converters for its size. SS3200-SS4000 can't go wrong. this thing will easily cut low 1.6's.

Spoke with you about it before. Don't change your gears just yet, find out how you like it first and test it on the track with some DRs. You will NOT hook up at the track/street with that converter on street tires. You've been warned.

You won't grenade the 10bolt with an auto on nittos. I'm still on the 10bolt with about 20 passes.
