Has any one had a problem with the car surging and ocasionaly dieing after putting in a stall with out a cam? I just bumped up the idel a little bit to see if that will fix it but i just wanted to know if it is normalor not?

Mine did it sometimes when coming to a stop and at low speeds shifting gears, like when parking. Raising the in gear idle has kept mine from ever doing it again.

Mine did it before the cam and then the cam install only made it 10 times worse. Its been made better with the tune but it still surges on me every now and then. Makes it a hassle to try and pull it into a small garage.

Normal with any lighter-mass, smaller-diameter torque
converter. Raising idle is good, but backstopping it
with idle airflow that makes sense for the real needs
of the motor (so it does not have to hunt, trim, forget
and repeat) is what will settle it down for good. Also
a bit more idle spark advance.
