Default trans cooler

if i bypass the radiater and just run the cooler will it run cooler, i want the car and trans to run at the coolest temps possible.

yeah, it will run cooler. some people say too cool. there was a big discussion about this about a year ago if i remember

Same here.
My setup came with braided tranny cooler lines and becuase it was in a manual car I just went ahead and ran it the way it was setup for that car. No radiator just to the cooler and back to the tranny.
Its been hotter than hell here lately and my trans temps have not gone above 170.

the reason for asking is i went from a 6 speed to the th-350, the engine temps never got over 180 but with the auto,wih it running from the radiator and then to the small cooler,temp is running around 210 and did reach 220 i have a 160 stat
i am going to bypass the radiator this weekend and get the b@m cooler and put it dope style insteed of on the back of the radiator and see what happens

I did not know this that you should bypass the radiator right now i have the cooler and radiator running and my tranny is having problems so i should try bypassing the radiator i guess
