4l60e 2-3 shift problem!!!
OK guys, here's the story... 2000 LS1 Firebird; lid,LTS, ory, magniflow exhaust, tr224 cam, hpt, built 4L60e with a vig ss3600
Before the built tranny and the torque converter and TR224, car ran 12.80 @110 with 2.00 60'. After cam and tranny build and torque converter, 60 fts. are now 1.70's . Car shifts fine from first to second, second to third bounces off rev limiter - have to get out of the gas 3-4 times for the car to shift into third. Any ideas??? Do you think it could be a tuning issue or a transmission issue?

Well sounds like you have some tuning issue I mean you cant completely rule out the trans but its sounds ok to me, You do realize and I cant tell you alot more as Im not A tuner that shift points are determined by several factors MPH,RPM,TPS,and others. I would try and look at the data stream and see if the shifts even being comanded when you have to set to happen. It sounds a little like you are doing what called by some hitting the stall wall.

my tranny is extremely sensitive to the fluid level. it was a pint low on fluid and would bounce off the rev limiter at wot on the 2-3 shift. i added fluid and brought it up to the full mark and now it shifts fine.
