Give me a call. We can build this unit for you.

Does it need to be Reverse pattern? Do you require a Brake as well?

We give a 6 month warranty trans alone or a 12 month warranty trans/converter combination

All of my Racing Transmissions carry a 6 month, 6,000 mile Warranty.

But, because we are talking about a high performance racing automatic transmission we should also talk about the fact that it will break. It is just a matter of when. If it is maintained properly, if it is not abused, if it is freshened up regularly it will last for many, many years to come. It can be considered an invaluable investment to ones Racing Program.

If it should break after the Warranty has expired, you are only looking at shipping costs, labor and parts to repair it. There is no need for one of my customers to have to incur the total cost of a new unit in situations like this.

Because each and every transmission we build is built specific to the application and it's intended use I can build you a TH400 to withstand just about anything you can throw at it. That is a fact. It all boils down to what you want to do with it vs. your budget.

If you would like to get an idea of our capabilities with TH400's, P.M. "GAUGE" here at LS1tech. We built a 400 for his fathers '72 Nova that is behind a Morgan & Sons 522 cid engine. It makes right around 775 - 800 fwhp. The car runs 10.15 @ 132 mph all day on motor, and has for about a year now without a single issue.

Pic and vid of the Nova.....

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/1...d-w_151785.htm

For that car we built a unit that has an ATI RVMB, Brake, 34 element sprag, racing clutches throughout, custom machining, custom lubrication circuits for the rotating assy, and several other proprietary hydraulic mods in the rotating assy. That unit came in just under $1,900 if I'm not mistaken.

We currently have a 400 on our bench that is a 3 time loser with only 25 laps on it from a shop in our region that is very well respected. It is in a '55 Chevy, 975 fwhp, 3850 lbs. Runs 6.00 at NorthStar Dragway. The hydraulics were not set up properly and the output assy end play was not set correctly in this one. I might post some pics. of this build.

Call me. So much more can be learned on each side from a telephone conversation than an internet forum discussion when it comes to setting up a transmission for a given application.

I do not charge my clients for cores up front. If we build a unit from our core inventory and ship it out then a core fee applies. However, I only charge for cores if they have not been returned 30 days after the new unit has been delivered.

I know that there are other costs associated with replacing a transmission, that is my way of helping to keep those costs down.

I'll be at the shop this afternoon, taking this opportunity of a slow day to get some cleaning done. Feel free to give me a call if you like.

I had mine built by a locally in a smaller town just south of Peoria here in Central Illinois. I only heard good things about him from everything from local mud boggers to drag racers. I can't wait to get my transbraked th400 setup to the track.

Let's do it! I'm in... we have 3 TH400 builds in line right now.

One is behind a 900 h/p '55 Bel Air that competes locally in the Muscle Car Challenge and does some bracket racing as well.

Another is in a '67 Firebird that is a local grudge and TnT car. It makes about 500 h/p

And another is in a 454 SS Chevy truck. The engine was build next door at Xtreme Horsepower. It is now a 496 cid mill that puts about 565 h/p to the rear wheels. It will be seeing a 200 shot of N2O when we are finished tomorrow!

Good Luck either way!

Oh, did you see our Sales Thread... it includes 3 speeds!
