Default Need Help Please

I have a FLT stage 5 (vacuum modulated) 4L60E
3800 VIG, with cooler.

I have been experiencing the following:

I get in the car, drive 50 miles, all is well, all gears working fine.
I park, 15 minutes later, I drive again
>this time the tranny is stuck in 3rd gear from go (in OD mode)
>It will manualy shift (back and forth) 1>2>3 no fourth
>I stop again for 5>10 minutes, get back in and all is normal again.

It has been doing this intermitantly, it has 7K miles on it, started doing this past 2K miles, no issues prior.

Could it be solinoid related?
Valve body related?
Vacuum modulated related? (224 117LSA cam plenty vacuum)

Anyone experienced something similar?
BTW, pcm commands are correct.

All help apreciated, thanks

I would scan for codes, But also if and or when the PCM was programed for the converter did by chance the tuner delete the test for codes PO751 and PO757 this is always a good idea with a stall and a common reason for intermittent limp mode with a stall and yes some times it shows immediately and sometimes it takes a while then it shows.
But also since it sometimes does it from start up it may be a hard code. Solenoid open/shorted condition/wiring . If you have a scanner as I said scan it first. And make sure your harness connector is plugged in good at the trans.
Hope this helps a little

I scanned today and it throws P0757

So what should I do now? replace solinoid (2/3 shift?)

If it is just a tuning issue, how do I do it? step by step please, I'm not an expert at tuning but i manage.
HPT is what I use.

You can of course try changing the solenoid however with a high stall generally thats a code set because the PCM is confused by the Converter, I cant tell you how but I would try deleting the test for the code and you will likely be good to go

I've read about 20 threads, all say the same thing as you do "turn it off"

But HOW? is my question I have HPT.

Where do I go and clic on what?

Thanks for helping me identify the issue.

Ok I got it this is how it is done with HPT:

>Go to VCM Editor
>Open you Bin file
>Go to Eng. Diagnostics
>Go to DTCs
>Scroll to p0757
>leave enable box blank
>Next to that box you'll see 1 of these 4 settings
0-MIL on first error
1-MIL on second error
2-No MIL light
3-No error reported
> click on # 3 (no error reported)
>Flash PCM

There you go,
I hope this helps others, I've seen a lot of posts but no one posted a way to do it with HPT.

Thanks again to Perfomabuilt (it is Frank?) and Dmoney who answered in Tuning section and also Vince (FLT).

I hope this takes care of this annoying limp mode issue.

hey predator-z, i was having the same issue after i got my cam and stall done. i was driving home and it just started bucking and dying out all over the place and threw the same code. P0757 shift solenoid stuck on. i sent my pcm back to MTI and they just deleted that code along with P0751. its been good to go since.
