ATK HP ENGINES Seeks a new Engine Builder
ATK High Performance Engines is looking for a new Performance and Race Engine Builder to add to our High Performance Division. We are currently looking for someone who is familiar and able to build/tune LS engines as well as early style Chevy's and Fords. The Division is headed by Mark Johnson, formerly of Reher & Morison Racing Engines. We are not looking to train from scratch, but someone who has the know how and can jump in the routine and go as well as learn. Must have own tools and be METICULOUS when it comes to attention to detail and documentation of work.
Experience Needed:
Engine assembling/Balancing/Blue Printing
Machining
Head Porting
Checking and setting of clearances
Final assembly of engine from stock - race engines
Dyno setup (operator a plus)
LS Tuning
Familiar with major performance parts/brands
We are based in Grand Prairie, TX. You must have automotive knowledge and know the year, makes and models of cars from the 60's- Present. We offer benefits and 401K. The company is probably one of the best companies to work for as we are like a family here and have lots of room for growth. If you are interested send your resume to Brandon@Vegena.net and we will review it. Here are a few of our sites so that you can get a feel for who we are and what we do.

I'd definitely be interested in the entry level position. 8 years working with automotive everything and a recent FAA A/P mechanic who loves engines. I have my own tools, but would need to acquire some of the specialty stuff to make it easier.

I imagine they are a bit different from normal piston engines, but I learn quickly and have plenty of aptitude for it. Most of my experience is with aviation engines (opposed piston and turbine) so it would be a change of pace. As with all engines, careful assembly and attention to detail are paramount
