GM's releasing new LSX motor
You guys hear about the LSX motor GMPP is releasing? GMHTP has an article about it. They built it to withstand a crapload of power, be used for almost any combination of parts, new, old, you name it, and is cheap! It starts off as a 3.900 inch bore but can be bored to 4.25 (without power adders). Forgot what the deck height is but they're going to produce a second block with a taller deck for big strokes and cubes. It can utilize any part you have on your LSx block now and even has 6 bolts per cylinder (if needed) for monstrous CR's. The oil hits the crank mains first and feeds up to the valvetrain to make sure the bearings are always lubed well even with a pump failure. There are so many great things about this block!!! I forgot the pricing but it's honestly not expensive, MUCH MUCH less than a C5R block but can withstand more power and abuse. Anybody have plans already?
GMPP is also releasing new heads, I think they were LQ9 heads... the LS2 heads. they flow huge numbers just from cast so they're really cheap! again I forgot the pricing I'll have to read through the article again, I want to say 400 something bare. Only thing is they can only bolt up to a 6.0 or bigger block and have to use the LS2 manifold. GMHTP says they flow so well as cast that CNCing them won't gain much more flow and is not really worth the extra dough even though they will probably start releasing CNC'd versions shortly after the cast versions.

This thread took a friggin U-Turn after "speeddemongto" made his post.
So whats the ****** verdict man, is the cow real or what? Thats just down right strange. If its real that had to be hell to get it up on there, unless they used a cherry picker.
