Just wondering if anyone has removed the paint from their wheels? If I where to do it could I polish the wheel to a high shine? The wheels are aluminum right?

There is a chemical that coaters use to remove it. The aluminum underneath is VERY coarse.

Why go through trouble?

$200/ea on exchange and you don't have to worry about it.

So I don't have to pay $800.. and I want the "machined" look if it is possible.
Chrome can flake also. I live in Texas and they have shops that chrome for $160 a wheel.

I know how to strip it. I was just wondering what it looks like underneath. I have lots of sand paper, buffing wheels, muscles and time. LOL

Chill!

I never asked how to. I was asking if anyone left it all natural/not refinished/just bare aluminum.

Sorry if readers got confused.
