I hated the front 12 volt plug. Always gets in the way when I shift into 3rd, 5 th and reverse.

I removed the 12volt sock and added a USB charger port.
Pick up the USB charger port on ebay for $12. The port pulgs in to 12 volts and convert to 5 volts power.

Removed the old sock and screwed the USB port in.

very slick.. what if you left the stock 12v and added this usb to the inner coin holder spot.. would that put to much strain on the fuse and pop it? (1) i know nothing about 12v systems (2) i had a usb charger that would constantly short that 12v out but the 12v in the rear seat would not blow the fuse with the same charger..

A quick connect is a necessity. Just incase I want to remove the concole cover.
Just cut the cable in half and connect to the 12 volt power.
