Default will a Fbody water pump fit.....

....on our cts-v's? looking around it seems like all ls motors have the same water pump, the only thing I am worried about is clearance issues with the width of the pulley itself, and hitting the radiator fans...here is a pic of the difference

CTS-V

F-body

anyone know if it will fit?

C5 & C6 Y-cars have the same offset and shallow hub. Their water pumps are interchangeable with V (with the possible exception of the LS9 pump).

The accessories are in different locations but all that has an effect on is the belt length. The Y-car nominal belt length is ~80.75 inches or so.

To my knowledge its the same as the vette . I know the harmonic balancer is for the same for sure so the offset should be the same .

Btw are you upgrading to a electric or you just need a replacement .

If you run into clearance issues you could probably take the fat pulley off the F-body water pump and put your skinnier V pulley on.

Do you have a spare F-body water pump sitting around, why not just get a vette/V specific water pump?

it fit fine....the belt is pretty tight though, so we may just go and pick up a new serpentine belt that's like 1/2 larger, because its pretty tight as it is
