well after days and days of reading, asking questions and calling everyone I could find, I finally ordered my parts. What do yall think?
stock bore 6.0
probe flat top's 10.8:1 with .050 head gasket
scat h-beam 6.125 bushed rods, .927 pin
L92 heads
BTR custom cam( working that out now)
victor jr intake
850 holley dp
1 7/8 primary to 3 inch collector headers
going in my 87 s10 blazer with a 4000 stall and turbo 350.
I think for a street car it should be a lot of fun

its got 3.73's in it now with 275/60/15's. the old body style blazers are ALOT lighter than the 2nd gen. curb weight was listed as 3200 with a 2.8 and 5 speed. I figure mines around 3300 at most. the last one I had was 2980 with me in it but that with no spare, rear seat, ect

I would be moving to at least 4.10's with the 28" tall tire. I hope you have a 8.5 rear or 8.8. The 7.5's sometimes live in the lighter S/10's. With a set up like you are describing the weight and traction of the blazer will make short work of a 7.5 IMO.

yes I have a 8.8 and ladder bars going under the truck as we speak. I did think of some 4.10's but as its mostly a street car that may go to the track once in a while I decided against it

Not yet anyway. You will be changing them out. 3000 rpms at 60 isn't so hard to live with for the power on tap. especially in something that will stretch out to 7000 rpm's like nothing.

after a long conversation with BTR I ordered his cam and pushrods today. cam spec'd at 235/248 .610/.595 on 111+4. little easier lobe design to help on valvetrain life but wont effect hp. should be a strong mid rpm and up cam.
