Default cars at indy

Buddy took my car to Indy to run in super pro, division finals. In my last 3 weeks out I've gotten 2 first place finishes and one 3rd. Hoping he does good. He's never drove my car since the swap, he's a die hard ford guy. He's won about 30k this year in his 5.80 car. All sbf aftermarket everything. Lets see if he can go to Pomona if he wins here. Gonna have to add weight to keep the car slower than 6.39 since chassis not certified.

He just ran 11.44@84 lifting before the 1/8. He decided to run sportsman, and you can't go faster than 12.00.

I would try another method of slowing it down.

Shifting early probably won't help as anything below 5500 is probably not accurate due to stall.
disconnect the arm to the back two barrels
pull timing

Sounds like my formula for True Street. LOL Have my entire camp in my trunk including tools, pulling timing, short shifting and 3 blip pedal at the 1000'.

He's a good driver, made it to 3cars in race of champions. Didn't get another time trial in my car. We will see how it goes tomorrow. I could have pulled some timing, but he has no laptop. Didn't have time to test. He's won almost 40k this year, so hope he figures it out.

Well he ran one time trial out the back but air wasn't great, everybody was about a tenth and a half slow in 1/8. He only ran 6.52 to 1/8 and 10.29@130 in qtr. Car just went 6.41 with me last week in so so air, but Indy s altitude is about double. Hopefully I can get it back in 30s next week if air is good. Two weeks is nmra, I will have a stab at qtr myself.
