Default carb with no hood

All right guys my car has always died when I let off the gas at the end of the track. The guy that ported my heads is telling me the air turbulence is pulling fuel out of the carb at high speeds and Thats why it's dying when I let off...my buddy was on the top end of the track this weekend and said he saw liquid coming from engine bay up into the air but didn't know what it was..I called quickfuel told them what it's doing and they said the same thing the head porter said..my car was baseline tuned on the dyno and car never died when you left off..put it on the track and it does....so my question is have y'all heard of this ..I'm putting hood on this week and I'm betting I'll have to retune my nitrous fuel..

Do you run an air cleaner at the track? Eric L

yep ive seen cars do it too. the air rushing over the carb is creating a vacuum and pulling the fuel out the carb

Coming out the breather. Run a piece if hose connecting front and rear breather, put a hole at top. Will stop spraying your screen

Back to basics, check float level is high and on dyno pull it doesn't drop. May be worthwhile going to bigger needle/seat to keep fuel in bowl in any case

don't think that will make any difference unless its leaning out engine.

fix fuel issue. also worth checking fuel pressure at reg during a pull, may not have enough fuel pump (unlikely, but worth checking)
