Default 1982 indy pace car z28 with ls6

I am currently working on a 82 Z28 with a damaged LS1. I have sourced an LS6 and hope to have running in the next month or so...... hopefully.

I would like some guidance on engine mods in the near future, as i do not wish to put a stock ls6 in the car. The time to do cam heads etc is definetly while the engine is out of the car.

I am considering the texas speed stage 2.5 ls6 heads with a 228r cam.

Welcome aboard! If you haven't seen it yet, ThirdGen.org (TGO) is a great resource for these cars - there's even a specific forum for LS-series & LT-series engine swaps.

Nice-looking car BTW!

Thanks!

I should be able to get some more pics up tomorrow... i cleaned the car today. it was only about 6 years overdue for a bath as it has been sitting up in storage. looks just as good as i remembered. i just need to get the wheels polished up, they look a little oxidized

tell me about it. no one who knows anything about camaros expects this car to spin tires on dry pavement let alone have any real power.

i love your 1st gen by the way

one day........
