Talking K-member issues

im building an lq9 powered notch but im still in the parts gathering stage i was wondering how strong is the aje k-member and would it hold out the everyday driving plus take on the job of a weekend roadrace car. anybody got any info that can help

i just did a lsx in a 2001 mustang. when i called them they guy said they werent designed around the street.

so i just bought a granitelli kmember and made my own mounts.

i made a few extra sets. idk if they will work with your car.

cool can you post a pic of the mounts? and where does the shifter sit in the car?

I know Griggs just did a ls6 swap to a sn95 that i run against, the guys said they were going to produce it. You could check with them.

griggs has a lot of awsome stuff, but they never pick up the phone!!! lol

what year is your car?

just use stock kmember with 4.6 L mounts. i have seen that done a lot of times

its 92 but im planning to use 04 cobra stuts, spindles, steering rack, and a-arms. im also worried of where my shifter is going to come up.

well i got the kit for the 96-04 to put lsx in 4.6L stang.

so you going to buy 4.6L after market k-member?

ima have use the 4.6 k-member, to get the right bump steer. how much do you want for the kit?

I used a UPR k for 4.6 and just modified 4.6 mounts, worked perfect. Also know of a few using the granatelli who've done the same....which means it should work with the Maximum K.

did you have to cut the floor pan for the shifter?
